FAQs

We hope this page clears up any questions you may have.
Check back here often to see what people are wondering about Ladyfest Atlanta!

Who is organizing this?

A fierce team of volunteers who strive to make the organizing process
as transparent and egalitarian as possible.

How can I get more involved in the organizing process?

Anyone can join the organizing committee by either
subscribing to our MailChimp email list or joining our
Facebook group “Ladyfest Atlanta Organizers.”

Does Ladyfest Atlanta cost money?

All Ladyfest Atlanta events are 100% free and open to the public.
We will have a series of fundraiser events leading up to the festival where
donations are suggested. All donations collected during Ladyfest week will be
donated to a TBA organization. Funds raised in 2015 were donated to SNaP Co.

Are men allowed to take part in Ladyfest?

Yup! Men are totally welcome and invited to Ladyfest Atlanta.
They can attend, volunteer, and support us in many ways. However, we
will not be accepting submissions from men to perform. This festival is for
those who do not benefit from male privilege at every other event of the year.

I am in a band or group performance that has some men involved.
Can we still submit?

Yes!
For example, if you were a writer or director submitting a short play,
it would be acceptable to have male actors involved. We ask that submitted
acts/projects have at least 50% women or gender non-conforming folx involved.

I don’t live in Atlanta, can I still submit?

We are currently accepting submissions from Georgia-based women
and gender non-conforming artists only. It is important to us that
Ladyfest Atlanta remains a locally spirited event.
